Josco’s Stitched Calico Buff is perfect for achieving a high quality gloss finish when polishing. It can be used for polishing metals, plastic, aluminium, stainless steel, copper, chrome, silver, gold and alloys. Josco’s Stitched Calico Buff’s have a hard surface because of their stitch, this allows for more pressure to be applied when polishing.

Different metals have varying characteristics, and to achieve the best results, it is essential that the correct compound and polishing buff are selected for the job.

Select the buff and compound for your job.
Stitched Calico Buff’s can either be used with an SS (White) Compound for a high quality finish on aluminium alloys. For a high gloss finish on copper, brass and stainless steel, pair your buff with a SSX (Light Green) Compound. And for achieving a high gloss finish on plastics and die-cast articles, use your Loose Leaf Calico Buff with a Multishine (Light Blue) Compound.
Dress the buff with compound across the face of the rotating wheel for a few seconds. Take care not to apply too much compound as this will overload the buff. It is better to apply a little compound more frequently than to overdress the buff.
Bring the work piece into contact with the buff and with light pressure move back and forth across the job.
After polishing remove any residue with hot water and household detergent.
