Josco Water Fluid Lapping Compound 500G
Used in finishing processes for flat, cylindrical and spherical workpieces.
The Josco Water Fluid Lapping Compound is a combination of abrasive particles that has been mixed into a specific carrier solution to hold the grit in suspension and provide lubrication. It is also available as an oil fluid.
The selection between water fluid lapping compound and oil fluid lapping compound is usually based upon the speed of lap through to the fineness of surface lap. Water fluid produces a fast cut and dull finish. Oil fluid produces a slower cut, but with a bright finish.
It comes in a standard size of 500g. The water fluid variety is available in a range of grits including 120G, 240G, 320G, 500G and 700G.
